May I Introduce Myself To You?
For nearly three decades, I have served in ministry and pastoral care, helping individuals, couples, and families navigate trauma, grief, spiritual formation, and emotional healing. I hold a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Care & Counseling from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Leadership from Graceland College.
I am a pastor, certified chaplain, spiritual director, and grief recovery specialist who has completed extensive training in spiritual care, trauma-informed care, spiritual direction, story work, and Christ-centered therapy. Additional training includes studies through The Allender Center, Sustainable Faith, Christian Psychology Institute, and Community Resilience Initiative. I have also completed multiple units of Clinical Pastoral Education in parish, hospice, counseling, and hospital settings, including work at Baptist Health Floyd (extensive work) and Norton Healthcare.
My passion is creating honest and compassionate spaces where people can explore the intersection of faith, story, trauma, relationships, and healing. My work especially focuses on helping men, women, and marriages find language for their experiences, move beyond isolation and shame, and pursue deeper healing and connection with God, themselves, and others.
Jeanne and I have been married since 1987. Together, we have a son, a daughter, a daughter-in-law, and two wonderful grandchildren.
Walking with others on their life’s journey is both an honor and one of my greatest joys. I am passionate about soul care rooted in Christ’s shepherding love. I also cherish time with family and friends, cycling, meaningful conversations, walks with my Bernedoodle Henry, journaling, exploring nature, and diving into great books.
